Donna Gamble, physical therapist and PT Pilates owner, is a 1986 graduate of The School of Physical Therapy at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Since graduation, Donna has worked in Greensboro including 14 years in the Cone Health System ( 3 of which she served as the Cardiopulmonary Clinical Specialist for Physical Therapy ), 8 years in skilled care/ assisted living facilities, 1 year in home health, and 5 years in medical and pharmaceutical sales.

After 3 fractures and cervical disc replacement surgery, Donna’s body was weak and unbalanced. She sought out pilates to rehabilitate herself and fell in love with it and the principles upon which the method was based. Donna began comprehensive pilates teacher training through Balanced Body in 2011 and started instructing clients with rehabilitative needs. In April of 2014 she opened PT Pilates, “ Pilates Taught by Physical Therapists”, with the goal of bringing pilates to clients who would benefit from a therapeutic approach. In 2015 she became a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT). Over the past 15 years, Donna has combined her decades of experience as a physical therapist with the impactful modality of pilates to improve the lives of dozens of clients.

Her mission continues to be:

  • To help clients correct faulty movement patterns in order to enjoy their daily activities without  pain
  • To inspire clients to be active, and to provide meaningful exercise so they can continue to  enjoy the things in life they want to do
  • To help clients build both strong and supple bodies that stand tall
  • To be a perpetual student of physical therapy and pilates continuing education in order to  bring best practice to her clientele

Her favorite quote from Joseph Pilates is: “Change happens through movement and movement  heals”.

Donna loves walking/hiking , zumba, pilates (of course), Blowing Rock, ballroom dancing, her  fiancé Mark, and her 2 pups Lexi and Roxy.
